Captain Katherine F. Tiongson (USCG Retired)
Captain Tiongson was the Chief of Plans & Policy for Coast Guard Intelligence (CG-25). She most recently served as the Commander, Coast Guard Cryptologic Group, from 2010-2013. Prior ashore assignments include Intelligence Division Chief of the Deployable Operations Group in Arlington, VA, Research Fellow at the Center for Strategic Intelligence Studies at the National Defense Intelligence College, the Coast Guard Liaison Officer to the National Security Agency, pre-commissioning Deputy of the Coast Guard Cryptologic Group, Operations Officer at Coast Guard Group Key West, Deputy Associate Director for National Security Policy on the Secretary of Transportation’s Office of Intelligence staff during the 9/11 crisis, Surface Plans Officer at Joint Interagency Task Force East and Global Intelligence Branch Chief at the Intelligence Coordination Center. Her afloat tours include plank owner Commanding Officer of USCGC BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, and Deck Watch Officer on USCGC VIGOROUS.
