On this day I, Laura Hernandez, organized a potluck dinner for everyone in my sophomore class. Each student brought their own choice of food. We brought in lots of foods, like meatballs, tacos, fish cakes, pernil, lasagna and chicken. While it wasn't on a boat, doing this potluck dinner felt like we accomplished something, working together. This relates to the maritime field because a table is a place where you gather around with your family. Being on a boat and working on it you get to know everyone closely and have a great connection with them. 24 hours a day you are working together.
