Sheila Stiles Jewells

Sheila Stiles Jewells is a research geneticist at NOAA Northeast fisheries science center and has been recognized by top scientists for her achievements and dedication to her job. She was presented in 2018 for a service award for her 50 years of service in advancing science. She graduated from St. Augustine High School as valedictorian and went on to earn her bachelors in science from Xavier University, her masters in the University of Connecticut, and the University of Massachusetts for her Ph.D. Jewells has mentored many males and females over the years visiting and providing for schools from elementary to college level.
